Erik ten Hag SACKED live reaction and analysis as Manchester United make huge decision

Manchester United have sacked manager Erik ten Hag following an underwhelming start to the 2024/25 season.

Sunday's defeat to West Ham was United's fourth in the Premier League this season. United are currently 14th in the Premier League table after winning just three of their opening nine matches. They have scored a paltry eight goals in that period.

As a result of the club's ongoing struggles, United's hierarchy have made the decision to sack Ten Hag, ending his two-year spell in charge. He was appointed as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's permanent successor in April 2022 and won two trophies in his first two seasons at the club.

Ten Hag survived Ineos' end-of-season review at the end of last term, resulting in the club triggering the one-year option they had in his contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford until 2026.
