Erik ten Hag is two wins away from bettering Jose Mourinho feat at Manchester United

Manchester United are on the cusp of sealing a top-four finish and Champions League qualification for next season following Saturday's 1-0 win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Casemiro's excellent early goal was enough to clinch all three points for the Reds, meaning they now require just one point from their last two matches to be guaranteed a place back in Europe's premier club competition next term.

Chelsea will visit Old Trafford on Thursday night and Fulham will make the same journey up from West London on the final day of the season on Sunday.

United will be strong favourites to win both games and scoop maximum points. Their Old Trafford record has been almost faultless this term and they have not tasted defeat on their own patch in all competitions since September 8. Furthermore, they have not lost a league game at Old Trafford since being beaten 2-1 by Brighton on the opening day of the season.

Should United finish the campaign with two more home wins, it would see their tally for points won at home this term increase to 48, meaning they would end Premier League season with the second best home record in the division. Manchester City have taken 52 points from their 19 home games this season and cannot be caught.

United, to date, have won 13 of their 17 home league games this season, drawing three and losing one of the remaining four. They have also conceded a league-best eight goals at Old Trafford.

So, should United bag themselves two wins from from their two remaining home games, they will earn themselves 48 home points for the first time in exactly a decade, when the Reds won 16 of their 19 home games during the 2012/13 season, losing
