Erik ten Hag has given Manchester United undroppable a new tactical instruction - it almost worked

Manchester United can record back-to-back wins in the Premier League this weekend.

The pressure on Erik ten Hag increased after a collapse against Coventry in the FA Cup semi-final, but United still won that game and returned to league action with a victory.

Although Sheffield United twice took the lead at Old Trafford, they didn't look capable of seeing out a win and United fought back to secure three points.

Most fans have given up hope of qualifying for the Champions League, but the race is far from over and Saturday afternoon's fixture against Burnley is a must-win fixture.

So here are four things to look out for against Burnley at Old Trafford...

The inverted role for Dalot

Almost immediately after the first whistle against Sheffield United, Diogo Dalot came close to scoring with a long-range strike but Wes Foderingham made a wonderful save.

Dalot is capable from distance and scored from an almost identical position, albeit from the right and not the left, against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in October.

In the last few weeks, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been used at left-back but looked increasingly uncomfortable in that role and it was the correct decision to move him back into his natural position on Wednesday, which meant the more adaptable Dalot started at left-back.

Dalot delivered a competent performance on that side and it was noticeable he was playing an inverted full-back role, coming into midfield to create a numerical advantage.

That allowed United to push higher against a team who were playing a low block and it will be fascinating to see whether those instructions are given to Dalot again,
