Erik ten Hag has already provided Tyrell Malacia verdict as Manchester United begin talks
Erik ten Hag has already provided his verdict on Manchester United target Tyrell Malacia.
Malacia recently enjoyed an impressive season in the Eredivisie, making 32 league appearances. The 22-year-old was a near ever-present for Feyenoord in their Europa Conference League campaign as they suffered final heartbreak against Jose Mourinho's AS Roma.
MEN Sport understands United are closing in on a deal for Malacia, with a deal of around €15m already agreed. The 2022 summer transfer window is not the first time that Ten Hag has been linked with a move for Malacia. Last year, the 52-year-old was asked if the youngster was on his wish list at Ajax.

Ten Hag was unsurprisingly coy with his response, but he did give a verdict on the left-back. "We do think he is a good player, yes," he said.
"A transfer for Malacia to us is not an issue in the first place. Before we get all speculations again; it does not play at all.
"We can accommodate a departure of [Nicolas] Tagliafico within our current selection. If it is really necessary, we have a shadow list indeed. Whether Malacia is on that list? I’m not going to tell you."
Despite keeping his cards close to his chest, Ten Hag clearly recognised Malacia's talents. Should the youngster arrive at Old Trafford this summer, he will provide competition for Luke Shaw and Alex Telles.
