Erik ten Hag gives Marcus Rashford update after heated argument with Manchester United fan
Erik ten Hag didn't speak to Marcus Rashford after a video emerged of a Manchester United supporter confronting the forward before facing Newcastle at Old Trafford.
Rashford was named on the bench on Wednesday night for the visit of Newcastle and exchanged words with an abusive fan in the Stretford End during the warm-up.
It's not precisely clear what was said in the exchange, but something insulting was directed at Rashford from the stands, which provoked a reaction. Rashford looked visibly angry and felt it was necessary to walk away from the area, so he stopped warming up and left the area.

Just a few weeks ago, Rashford posted on social media that abuse of him had been ongoing for months and there has been a suggestion in the media he could leave United.
Rashford's form has been disappointing this season, but abuse is unacceptable and the incident was a talking point at Ten Hag's pre-Brighton press conference at Carrington.
In the first section, although Ten Hag confirmed he'd seen the footage, he refused to criticise the supporter and chose to discuss the positive atmosphere that was generated.
During the embargoed section, Ten Hag said: “Again, there were yesterday 68,000 fans so positive; a great vibe. And so it’s fantastic to play for this club and Marcus knows that.”
Ten Hag was asked whether he'd spoken to Rashford about the incident or 'abuse in general' and responded: “No. Not in the specifics. But I talk often with the players about this.
"It happens and you have to deal with it as a player and so one person is not representative for many. So, only one.
