Erik ten Hag wants to establish consistency after he named an unchanged Manchester United side for their Premier League clash with Luton Town.

United are looking to extend their unbeaten run when they face Luton at Kenilworth Road on Sunday afternoon, and they know three points are crucial in their hunt for Champions League football.

United rejuvenated their hopes of qualifying for the competition when they defeated Aston Villa last weekend and will be looking to take advantage of Tottenham's dropped points yesterday.

Ten Hag has named the same side that started the win at Villa Park a week ago, with Luke Shaw fit enough to start after he was withdrawn as a 'precaution' in that victory.

Speaking ahead of the match, the United manager explained his team selection for the clash. "Working on the way of play. We want to bring the consistency in," he told MUTV. "We need routines, and when you can play similar that works and helps and supports the consistency we are aiming for."

United know three points are crucial in their hunt for a top-four finish and Ten Hag is still treating every game like a cup final until the end of the campaign.

He added: "No other message. We are laying behind, we have to catch up. That stays. From now on, every game is a final. We are catching up, which is good news, but we have to keep this up."
