Erik ten Hag could be about to set Alejandro Garnacho a new Manchester United challenge

When Manchester United were in desperate need of a spark in the second half of the FA Cup final at Wembley back in June, Erik ten Hag turned to Alejandro Garnacho to try and provide it.

United, following former Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan's second goal of the game, were 2-1 down with just under half an hour left and they were offering very little to threaten Stefan Ortega's goal. Garnacho came on for Christian Eriksen with 62 minutes played and he offered more in the remaining half an hour than Sancho did in 78 minutes. The latter was replaced by Wout Weghorst with the clock ticking down, with Ten Hag trying every option available to him to try and keep United's hopes of a cup double alive.

It was not the first time last season that the Argentine had stepped off the bench and either changed or attempted to change a game in United's
