Erik ten Hag sets Alejandro Garnacho new challenge after scoring vs Wolves

Erik ten Hag says Alejandro Garnacho's next challenge at Manchester United is to secure a place in the starting XI. Garnacho came on in the 81st minute for his first appearance in 55 days to score the clincher in United's 2-0 win over Wolves.

The 18-year-old sustained an ankle injury in the goalless draw with Southampton on March 19 but Garnacho has since signed a new five-year contract. Garnacho has now scored five goals in his breakthrough season at United, having only made his debut on April 28 last year.

"Garna, we see it, the view, because he scored a great goal," Ten Hag said of Garnacho's impact. "He came on and he scored a goal. He did almost everything good and that will give him belief and that is good for the rest of the season. He is back, it will give him confidence and he can have an impact.

Christian Eriksen names the biggest improvement Manchester United must make

Christian Eriksen was pleased Manchester United defeated Wolves 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, although he's admitted the team must reproduce their Old Trafford form away from home in order to improve again next season.
