United agree De Jong and Malacia deals

United have agreed deals in principle to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona in addition to Feyenoord and Netherlands left-back Tyrell Malacia.

United's protracted seven-week pursuit of De Jong is expected to be finalised in a €65million (£56.14m) agreement plus add-ons. It is understood the initial fee will be paid in instalments.

Newly-appointed manager Erik ten Hag has also been backed with a €15million (£12.9m) move for Malacia, 22, after United hijacked Lyon's deal for the Netherlands international. Sources say United agreed the fee with Feyenoord on Tuesday afternoon.

United stance on Fernandez loan outlined

Alvaro Fernandez could be loaned out next season as United close in on a deal to sign fellow left-back Malacia.

United have agreed deals in principle to sign De Jong from Barcelona and Feyenoord defender Malacia as part of their summer rebuild under Ten Hag. The respective swoops are subject to the players completing medicals, with United having agreed a €15m (£12.9m) fee with Feyenoord for Malacia.

Meanwhile, they are set to pay out €65million (£56.14m) plus add-ons to Barcelona for De Jong.
