Eric Cantona makes FA Cup final prediction in message to Manchester United players

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has wished his old side luck for the FA Cup final against Manchester City and vowed they will win the encounter.

United take on City in the Wembley showdown this afternoon, with the Old Trafford side aiming to pick up their second piece of silverware this season having already won the Carabao Cup.

Erik ten Hag's men will also be aiming to derail City's hopes of securing a treble this season. Pep Guardiola's side won the Premier League and are in the Champions League final against Inter Milan.

Cantona won the FA Cup with United twice during his time with the Reds. He bagged a brace in the 4-0 win over Chelsea in the 1994 final, before scoring a memorable winner in the 1996 edition against Liverpool.

The Frenchman won four Premier League titles with United during a glittering five-year spell at Old Trafford. He retired from professional football in 1997 but he enjoys legendary status at United among supporters to this day.

All eyes will be on the Wembley showcase at 3pm when the game kicks off, with intrigue surrounding which sides Ten Hag and Guardiola select for the encounter.

Ahead of the clash, Cantona sent a brief message of support to his old side for the encounter. He has vowed that United 'will' win the game and that they can beat any opposition put in front of them.

He said: "Come on United for this FA Cup final. You will win it. You can beat anybody, anywhere, any time."
