England v Denmark - LIVE Euros updates from group clash and Manchester fan zone

England fans will flock to the city centre as excitement builds for their second Euro 2024 match. The Three Lions will take on Denmark at 5pm today (June 20) as Gareth Southgate's side look to book their place in the last 16.

Bars and fan zones are expected to fill up before the evening's action gets underway. Escape to Freight Island, at Mayfield near Piccadilly station, is one of Greater Manchester's biggest fan zones for Euro 2024.

Hundreds of supporters are expected to pack out the food hall to cheer the Three Lions on. England won their Euro 2024 opener against Serbia 1-0 on Sunday night.

A Jude Bellingham header got England off to a flyer in a classy first-half display. But Serbia gave England plenty to think about in the second half, with fans facing a nervy 45 minutes as Southgate's men saw out the win.

Fans will be hoping for another victory today - and perhaps a more comfortable result and performance. England took on Denmark in the semi-final of Euro 2020, securing a 2-1 win in extra time.

And Southgate is aware of the risk of revenge from the Danes. He told reporters yesterday: "We are very clear on the messaging we give to the players and what the mindset of an opponent might be and what motivations they might have.

"I think it's an important part of psychologically preparing our team, so we are always well aware of that narrative and preparing the players for it if they weren’t aware of it anyway." Escape to Freight Island will be welcoming fans through the doors from 4pm before kick-off at 5pm.
