England star linked with Man United transfer 'ready for move' as Erik ten Hag demand emerges

Erik ten Hag is staying at Manchester United, and that means transfer business can fully kick into gear with the Reds needing plenty of signings and sales during the summer window.

United need reinforcements all across the squad, but goals were particularly hard to come by last season with Ten Hag's side scoring just 57 Premier League goals during the 2023/24 campaign. Money will be tight for United this summer after missing out on Champions League football, but some key sales - such as Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood - could raise some serious funds to reinvest in the squad.

While United are targeting at least one centre-back, a left-back and a central midfielder, a striker is also on the wishlist - but it won't be Benjamin Sesko, who has opted to sign a new contract at RB Leipzig despite reported interest from United, Chelsea and Arsenal. Ivan Toney has been repeatedly linked with a move to Old Trafford and with just a year remaining on his Brentford contract, the forward - currently at Euro 2024 with England - could be a smart option for the Reds.

Speaking to talkSPORT on Tuesday regarding his future, Toney said "I'm a Brentford player. I have a year left [at Brentford]. Going into a major tournament, that is my main focus now. But after this, I'll be going back to Brentford and I will be a Brentford player still. It's nice to be linked with other clubs. But I've had this in the past. Nothing is done until it's done."
