England coach Shaun Wane names Ryan Hall on the wing for All-Stars clash

Hull KR winger Ryan Hall will earn his 39th England cap tomorrow night, as the prolific try-scorer has been named in the starting 17 to take on Ellery Hanley's Combined Nations All-Stars team at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington.

Nine Super League clubs are represented in Shaun Wane's side, with Huddersfield's Giants Jake Wardle and St Helens' stars Jack Welsby, Joe Bachelor and Matty Lees all in line to make their international debuts.

The call-up is well deserved for Hall, who has been one of Rovers' top performances this year. With 12 tries in all competitions and 2013 metres to his name, even at 34 years of age, the winger is still one of the best around.

After making his England debut in 2009, Hall has scored a record 35 tries in 38 appearances, and head coach Shaun Wane is full of admiration for the Robin, as he highlighted Hall's most prominent strengths during his press conference earlier in the week.

"I've always been a Ryan Hall fan, and he's still doing it," said Wane. "I think more about playing Samoa, they have big bodies, and we need big bodies to get us off our line in yardage. He's a big body and a powerful athlete. If anybody can do it, Ryan can.

"If he plays well in this game and carries on with his form at Hull KR, he's going to be pushing me to pick him in the World Cup. It's his effort stuff I like, things he doesn't need to do, things that people might not notice, but I notice. They're small efforts, but they mean a lot to me. That's why I think he's a fantastic winger."
