England boss Lee Carsley drops Keane Lewis-Potter hint

Hull City ace Keane Lewis-Potter could be in line for his first England Under-21 start this week after the Three Lions secured their safe passage through to next summer's European Championships in Georgia and Romania.

Lewis-Potter came off the bench in the last 10 minutes of Tuesday night's comprehensive 3-0 win over Albania at Chesterfield's Technique Stadium to win a second cap for the Under-21s, a victory that clinched qualification at the top of Group G.

England travel to Kosovo on Friday night in their penultimate qualifier before rounding off their campaign with a home game against Slovenia at Huddersfield Town's John Smith's Stadium on Monday night, and boss Carsley hinted that he will look to shuffle his pack in the remaining two games of the group which could see a start for the Tigers star.

"I feel that we've got twenty outfield players that are all capable of playing in the first team," Carsley told Hull Live. "What we have to be mindful of is that a lot of them have played a lot of minutes, and are carrying bumps and bruises, so it's important that they all get a game."

Carsley's embarrassment or riches was backed up once again when he was able to bring James Garner, Morgan Gibbs-White, Cameron Archer, and Lewis-Potter off the bench, and with a host of players missing through injury, the England chief hopes watching such a dominant display will give them the desire to come back and make a difference in the next camp.
