Enchanted Maize Maze with unicorn and wizard opens near Manchester for the school holidays

A 'magical themed maze' has opened near Manchester just in time for the school holidays.

The Enchanted Maize Maze is at Kenyon Hall Farm, which is in Warrington, but close to Wigan and Salford and easily accessible off the East Lancs Road.

Families will be able to navigate the winding paths, through the maize plants, finding the wizard, unicorn and other magical characters along the way.

The farm is a popular attraction over the summer holidays as it also hosts pick your own fruit sessions and has a play area, featuring play frames and its own tractor.

Tickets, costing £3.50, are already selling fast for the maze, which takes around 20 to 30 minutes to complete. They are released three weeks in advance, so you can currently buy them for sessions up to August 15.

Billed as 'the perfect summer family activity', previous mazes at the attraction - like the key worker superhero maze back in 2020 - have been a huge success.

The farm's manager James Bulmer said: "Our maze is always one of our most popular events so we'd encourage families to book in advance to avoid disappointment."

Maze tickets can be booked online here. For the fruit picking sessions you can just turn up, except for strawberry picking, which needs to be booked in advance. Slots become available usually two to three days in advance.

The farm also has its own cafe selling drinks and food, including Cheshire Farm ice cream.
