Emmerdale teases dramatic return for villager after custody stint

Emmerdale viewers were given a significant update on Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) on Monday (August 12), as it was revealed she is set to return to the village on day release. Fans of the ITV soap will recall that Heath Hope (Sebastian Dowling) tragically died in a car accident on New Year's Eve.

Initially, it was thought that his twin sister Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) had been driving and caused the crash, but she denied being at the wheel when questioned by the police about the incident. A distraught Cathy implicated Angelica, who also denied being the driver at the time of the fatal accident.

In the latest episode, Nicola received a phone call from Angelica's children's home confirming the teenager's upcoming visit, although Jimmy (Nick Miles) seemed indifferent to the news.

Jimmy responded indifferently: "Which we knew was happening."

Nicola retorted: "But we have both been around long enough to know if a spanner can be put in the works
