Emmerdale's Tom star teases 'comeuppance' amid co-star's vow over abuse storyline

Emmerdale star James Chase has spoke out about his dastardly character getting his 'comeuppance' as an end to the show's abuse plot is teased. Fans of the ITV soap currently know the actor for playing Tom King.

He returned to the Dales last year, after leaving in 2013 when he made it his mission to make Chas Dingle's life a living hell following the death of his father, Carl King.

Following his return to the village as the new vet, Tom quickly rekindled a romance with Belle Dingle. Things were seemingly going well between the pair but concerns were triggered back in October when Tom popped the question to Belle and didn't take her turning him down very well, resulting in a scuffle with Belle left bleeding.

Belle forgave Tom and later popped the question with the help of none other than Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. Then earlier this year, they tied the knot, Tom's coercive control over his new wife has only escalated.

He's been seen putting a tracker on his wife's phone, forcing them into owning a dog and setting up a 'pup cam' in their home, secretly caused problems for her in her new job at Take A Vow, is also slowly isolating her from her family and also made her think her mental health was at fault.

She has since left the mental health facility and has quickly discovered she is pregnant and it is clear she is fearful of her husband.

But things are only set to get worse when he learns Belle has had an abortion after claiming to have suffered a miscarriage. Next week, spoilers have revealed Tom is left lifeless
