Emmerdale's Lisa Riley and Strictly's Janette Manrara supported over 'love you' messages amid Robin Windsor's funeral

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Janette Manrara are among those paying emotional tributes as their former co-star and friend Robin Windsor is laid to rest.

There was an outpouring of shock and sadness last month when it was announced the professional dancer had died, aged 44. Robin's death was confirmed by Sisco Entertainment, which represented him in various areas of theatre and corporate entertainment on February 24.

Robin joined Strictly 2010 and in his first year, he was paired with EastEnders star Patsy Kensit. But he had to leave four years later due to an injury. The closest he got to winning was coming in fifth place with Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley in 2012, with the popular pairing finishing in 5th place.

Other partners included actress Anita Dobson and Dragons' Den's Deborah Meaden. He also took part in various Christmas specials with the likes of ITV stars Susanna Reid and Alison Hammond. The star most recently appeared in the stage shows Come What May, a tribute to Moulin Rouge.

On Tuesday (March 26), Robin was laid to rest in a private funeral in his hometown of Ipswich while fresh tributes poured in for the much-loved star. Alongside a number of photographs of herself and Robin cuddling up for some selfies, It Takes Two host Janette wrote: "Love you always."

Lisa, who is famed for playing Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, also shared a sweet selfie of the pair, alongside which she wrote: "I LOVE YOU, for always and forever. VELCRO FOR LIFE." Meanwhile, former Strictly pro Kevin
