Emmerdale's Eden Taylor-Draper shares emotional update as Belle concern continues

Emmerdale star Eden Taylor Draper was left sharing an emotional update as her character's harrowing storyline continues. The actress will soon celebrate 20 years of playing Belle Dingle in the ITV soap.

Eden has portrayed Belle, the daughter of Lisa and Zak Dingle, since taking over from Emily Mather in 2005. And looking back at her time on the show, Eden watched an early scene she shared with the late Steve Halliwell, best known for playing on-screen dad, Zak.

Sharing a picture of her laptop screen to her Instagram Story, the soap star revealed she'd 'finally' made it into Classic Emmerdale, with older episodes of the show airing a couple of times a day on ITV3.

Sharing the snap to her Stories, in which she could be seen sitting alongside Steve as Zak in his van, Eden wrote: "I made it to classic @Emmerdale!!" before adding a face holding back tears emoji.

It has been quite the ride for Eden as Belle has featured in plenty of storylines throughout her time on the soap, such as falling down a mineshaft, killing her best friend Gemma Andrews, having an affair with doctor Jermaine Bailey before faking a pregnancy to prevent Jermaine from leaving after their affair was revealed and being diagnosed with schizophrenia.

In recent scenes, viewers have seen Belle leave her husband Tom King after months of his abuse towards her. Back in October, during a special all-Dingle episode that saw Lydia stage a lock-in in The Woolpack to get to the bottom of who killed her rapist Craig Reed, it was revealed that Belle was hiding something from her family when she revealed Tom had asked her to marry him - and that she'd said no.
