Emmerdale's April star hit with same message as family share '11 years ago' update

Emmerdale fans have been sending the same message to the family of show star Amelia Flanagan as they shared a major update on her time in the Dales.

As fans of the ITV soap know, April is the daughter of Marlon Dingle and the late Donna Windsor and viewers first saw Amelia in the role of the youngster back in 2014 when she was only six years old.

Amelia is regularly praised for her performance in Emmerdale and has plenty of awards to her name already, winning Best Young Actor at the Insider Soap Awards for three years in a row and was awarded The British Soap Awards' Best Young Performance gong in 2015.

The teen is now part of one of Emmerdale's biggest storylines as April disappeared on Christmas Day, leaving her dad Marlon in despair.

But in a recent twist, Jacob Gallagher, who is training to be a doctor, was shocked during his shift in A&E upon the arrival of a young woman with stab wounds. While he did not catch a glimpse of her face, the discovery of her purse led him to a startling realization that it belonged to the missing April and he wasted no time alerting Marlon and his wife Rhona Goskirk.

They were put through the horror of being told their daughter had died as a result of stabbing injuries, only for them to view the body for formal identification and confirm it wasn't April as first thought.

Although this revelation implies April could still be alive, her parents were left with troubling questions about the possibility of April's involvement in the stabbing and how her purse ended up with the victim until they were informed a man had been arrested for the stabbing.
