Emmerdale fans fear for Belle Dingle as they predict heartbreaking future after Tom King assault twist

Emmerdale fans have been left fearing for Belle Dingle as they predicted the character's next storyline following an assault twist with Tom King. During Monday night's trip to the Dales (October 30), Belle was heard sharing her alibi as she was questioned over her whereabouts by sister-in-law Lydia.

Lydia has gathered her family for a lock-in in The Woolpack with only one question on the cards - what happened to Craig? - after his lifeless body was found by Billy Fletcher. As fans of the ITV soap know, the newcomer was a childhood acquaintance of Lydia who unexpectedly came back into her life earlier this year.

Later, in shocking scenes, Craig raped Lydia but denied his actions, claiming it was a mutual decision. During Monday's episode of Emmerdale, Lydia was seen confronting Craig once and for all after her husband Sam and his brother Cain had him tied up in a remote barn.

But in the Woolpack, she revealed Craig was dead and before the police came knocking on their door, she wanted answers. First up, Sam, Cain and Belle's alibis were heard, with all of them insisting they are innocent but all hiding their own secret in the process.

For Belle, she revealed how Tom had popped the question in a romantic proposal. But as Mandy rushed to congratulate her and look at the ring, Belle told how she had rejected him.

However, she failed to tell her family about what happened after she turned Tom down. Her boyfriend didn't take the news well, assuming it meant she didn't love him. And Tom soon turned angry with Belle as he attempted to storm out.
