Emmanuel Petit names two Manchester United stars who will 'definitely' leave

Emmanuel Petit believes ‘half’ of Manchester United’s squad want to leave the club and has named two players who will ‘definitely’ be exiting Old Trafford at the end of the season.

It has been another difficult campaign for the Premier League giants, who have failed to win any silverware for the fifth season in a row and look set to finish outside the top four.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side finished second last season and were expected to challenge for the Premier League title after signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho last summer.

That has failed to materialise, however, with United currently just seventh in the table and facing an uphill battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Manchester United’s season hit another low point on Saturday when they were beaten by relegation-battlers Everton at Goodison Park, a result that leaves the Red Devils six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with seven games remaining.

Former Arsenal, Chelsea and France midfielder Petit says there are ‘so many frustrated players’ at Old Trafford and has tipped Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial to be among those to depart this summer.

‘Paul Pogba should not stay at Manchester United beyond this summer. It is time for him to leave the club,’ Petit told bookmakers.co.uk.

‘His body language tells you the story that he is not happy there at all. He is not the only one by the way, there is so many frustrated players at the club.

‘I watched the game they had with Everton. Come on! This is supposed to be Manchester United. You have such responsibility when you play for a great team, and they are not the club I used to play against.

‘I believe Pogba should leave the club this summer because his time has run out over there.
