Roy Keane criticises two Manchester United players' pressing in Chelsea draw

Roy Keane singled out Manchester United duo Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford for criticism after their poor performances during Thursday's draw with Chelsea.

The Portuguese international played the entirety of the clash, while Rashford made way for Juan Mata with 11 minutes remaining as United registered another flat performance at Old Trafford. Marcos Alonso broke the deadlock on the hour-mark but parity was restored two minutes later by Cristiano Ronaldo.

After the 1-1 draw, Keane highlighted the fact both Fernandes and Rashford were dominated by the Champions League holders. Chelsea had 21 shots in the game, 15 more than United. "Fernandes doesn't get the ball back for you, nobody mentions him, whether he'll miss out," the former Old Trafford skipper said on Sky Sports.

"Rashford doesn't do nowhere near enough, sometimes they go close them down, but he's not really going after them, they're kind of just going through the motions. We saw that again tonight.

"We saw the amount of chances that Chelsea were creating, players going through the motions. Manchester City is an example, Liverpool — they hunt in packs, they hunt with hunger, real desire.

"Whereas United, we saw it tonight, the evidence is there. Of course (it comes from organisation) that all comes into the mix and that's where the new manager has to come in and start saying whatever about the individual good qualities 'we have to work as a team, we have to have everyone working together.'
