Elie Youan heroics see Hibs star join Giroud and Greizmann with elite French football recognition

Hibs star Elie Youan has seen his derby heroics recognised in France after he netted an 83-second double to secure point against Hearts.

The forward rescued Nick Montgomery's side in the Edinburgh derby as they game from two-goals down to take a valuable Scottish Premiership points back to Leith - and continue the momentum at Easter Road since the arrival of the boss. And the double from the 24-year-old saw him recognised alongside superstar names in sports newspaper L'Équipe's French team of the weekend.

The Hibs hero was named alongisde Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann and Simon Banza of Braga in the three-man frontline - with Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman and Arsenal defender William Saiba also getting the not. It leave the attacker lining up alongside some elite company after netting his fifth and sixth goals of the campaign against Hibs' city rivals.

The French outlet also included veteran Milan striker Olivier Giroud between the sticks after the he filled in for Mike Maignan in the final minutes with the goalkeeper shown a red card in the closing stages of the clash with Genoa. He pulled off a diving save late in the game to earn a vital three points in Serie A for the Italian league leaders.
