Elden Ring System Requirements: What are the Minimum and Recommended Settings?

Elden Ring is one of the most anticipated releases of the year and we are nearing the date when it drops onto consoles and PCs across the globe, but what are the minimum system requirements if you’re a PC gamer?

It’s a good question and one that has kept several gamers in suspense for the past few months, as they wait to see whether their machines can run FromSoftware’s latest opus.

Elden Ring, of course, promises a huge open world to explore, various bosses to battle, and multiple quests to complete as you bid to become an Elden Lord with your created character.

The game is set to release on February 25th but you can pre-order the game on various storefronts, including Steam.

And the minimum requirements for PCs have been revealed ahead of the release date, and it basically tells you that you’re going to need quite a remarkable rig to be able to explore the world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R Martin.

The specs first appeared on the game’s Steam page, briefly, leading to something of a meltdown among fans anticipating the release, and the game’s Twitter page later tweeted them out, confirming that budget PC owners are unlikely to be playing the game.

These specs are all the more surprising when one considers that the game is also coming out on last-gen consoles, with Elden Ring releasing on PS4 and Xbox One as well as PS5 and Series S/X.

It remains to be seen if it is a case of the game running a little choppily on those systems, or if this is just a case of Elden Ring being a huge, beautiful game that requires a huge and beautiful PC.

The fans of FromSoftware’s releases, such as the Dark Souls franchise, will certainly be hoping that it is the latter
