Week five matches of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will hold today across the federation, with Group A leaders, Bendel Insurance of Benin, travelling to El Kanemi hoping to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
Insurance have won all their four matches so far, home and away, and another win on the road will push them closer to qualification for the end-of-the-season Super Six play-off.
Elsewhere, Gombe United will welcome Shooting Stars of Ibadan to the Pantami Stadium, ninth-placed Kwara United will host Akwa United at the Ilorin Township Stadium, with bottom placed Nasarawa United against last season’s runner up, Plateau United, at the Lafia Township Stadium in Lafia.
It is expected to be a fierce battle in Ikenne, where former champions, Enyimba of Aba, will battle homers, Remo Stars for the three points.
In Group B, Abia Warriors are scheduled to host Niger Tornadoes at the Umuahia Township Stadium, while Doma United have a duel against Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
Enugu Rangers will host Uyo-based Dakkada Football Club, Lobi Stars are at home to Sunshine Stars, while Group B leaders, Rivers United are at home to Wikki Tourists at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
