Egbe congratulates Enyimba, Remo Stars over NPFL Super Six exploits

Enyimba wins Super Six

• Clubs endorse IMC report on the 2022/23 season

Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle Group, Ebi Egbe, has congratulated Enyimba of Aba and Remo Stars on their successful run in the just concluded NPFL Super Six Play-off in Lagos.

Egbe in a goodwill message to the two teams said he is happy two teams with ‘Monimichelle’s touch’ won and came second in the NPFL .

“I say a big congratulations to Enyimba and Remo and you know what? Their victory is also Monimichelle’s victory because these are two clubs with Monimichelle’s touch. We constructed the pitches where both Enyimba and Remo play. And to the glory of God, the venue where the Super Six games were decided, the MJA Arena, was also constructed by Monimichelle,” Egbe stated.

He expressed confidence that Enyimba and Remo Stars would excel in the continent next time given the rising profile of the nation’s domestic league, which has been made more competitive by the IMC.

Meanwhile, NPFL clubs’ chairmen met with the leadership of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the league in Lagos, to ratify the outcome of the 2022/23 season, which will pave the way for the names of the three top clubs to be forwarded to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The three clubs, in order of placement are Enyimba, Remo Stars and Rivers United, are to represent Nigeria in CAF Club competitions starting in August.

While Enyimba and Remo Stars are to play in the CAF Champions League, Rivers United will be joined by the winner of the Federation Cup to represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.

At the meeting, the IMC presented the results, table and goals scored to the club managers, who unanimously adopted it by voice vote.
