EE's latest announcement may have confirmed the biggest change coming to the iPhone 15

Apple's hotly-anticipated iPhone 15 is set to be unveiled later today, with tech fans excited to see what the latest model of the iconic smartphone has in store. And an announcement from EE on Tuesday morning may have offered a clue towards the biggest rumoured change.

Whispers have been floating around the tech world that the new iPhone will have a USB-C charging point. Apple's phones have traditionally had a lightning cable, but if the change is true it may make it easier for people to charge multiple devices with one cable, with many devices now using USB C.

Just hours before the Apple announcement at 6pm, mobile network provider EE had just dropped a deal on USB-C charging and power accessories. Designed for the latest devices, customers can get their hands on Cygnett’s Fast Range for £19.99 each, which offers faster charging, data and transfer speeds with items such as the Cygnett’s Fast Type-C Cable (2.2m), 25W Fast Mains Plug, 10,000 mAh Fast Power Bar and the 15W Fast Wireless Charger.

Those purchasing from EE Cygnett’s Fast Range can also receive an additional £5 off when they buy more than one charging product, allowing them to mix and match and ensuring their devices are always charged and ready to go. The Apple iPhone event will be broadcast live from Apple Park, in Cupertino, California.

The event is set to be streamed online on the Apple website and Youtube channel. It will be completely free to watch on both the Apple site and Youtube.

A titanium frame and camera upgrades are among the other rumoured upgrades. The Mirror has broken down the new features in more detail which you can read here.
