Edoardo Mortara the man to beat as Formula E returns with big weekend at Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR in Rome

Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns this weekend for a double-header at one of the all-electric series’ flagship street races at the Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR in Rome. ROKiT Venturi Racing’s Swiss-Italian racer Edoardo Mortara goes into a home weekend top of the Drivers’ Championship after another points-scoring race last time out in Mexico, a race in which TAG Heuer Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein exercised his demons to secure a maiden victory on the same track he was pipped at the line three years previous.

It will be interesting to see whether the trend continues into Rome, or whether Formula E’s fabled drama will come to the fore with stalwarts such as French-based DS TECHEETAH, India’s Mahindra Racing or Britain’s Jaguar TCS Racing making their mark.
