Manchester United's Edinson Cavani has finally spoken out about the extent of the injuries that have kept him sidelined of late, silencing those who questioned his attitude.
The Uruguay international hasn’t featured for the Red Devils since the February 8 and many have been public in how they believe that is due to his personal choice rather than because of a groin injury.
United boss Ralf Rangnick revealed before the Manchester Derby that Cavani, despite training in the days before the game, had ruled himself out of the crucial clash.
The German manager said: “Edi trained well in the last three days but, at the end, he didn’t feel quite well enough to be able to play.”
Rangnick's comments led to many to jump to the conclusion that the former Paris Saint-Germain wasn’t committed and was picking and choosing when he wanted to play.
But, speaking to the official Manchester United site, Cavani appears to have put those rumours to bed.
