Eddie Nketiah set for Crystal Palace move

Eddie Nketiah has been granted permission to undergo a medical examination at Crystal Palace, signalling a potential move from Arsenal.

The South London club is finalising terms with Arsenal and the 25-year-old striker, with a bid of £25 million plus £5 million in potential add-ons on the table.

If the transfer proceeds as planned, Nketiah will become Palace’s fourth summer acquisition, following Chadi Riad, Ismaila Sarr, and Daichi Kamada.

Nketiah, who has spent his entire career at Arsenal except for a half-season loan at Leeds United in 2019-20, has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances since his debut in 2018.

He is set to join the list of Hale End graduates departing Arsenal this summer, alongside Emile Smith Rowe, who recently signed with Fulham.

Holding the record for the most goals for England Under-21s, Nketiah has also earned one senior cap.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace, currently 17th in the Premier League, are looking to improve after losing their first two matches to Brentford and West Ham United.

They will face Chelsea in their next game on Sunday afternoon.
