Eddie Howe issues four Newcastle injury updates ahead of Leicester City clash

Brendan Rodgers will line his Leicester City side up to face Newcastle United this weekend, as the Foxes look to build on two impressive victories against Crystal Palace and PSV Eindhoven in the past week.

Leicester will travel to St James' Park on Sunday (2:15pm kick off), having recorded a 4-0 win in the return fixture against the Magpies in December, which came just 48 hours after playing Napoli in Italy. Goals from Youri Tielemans, Patson Daka and James Maddison ensured an emphatic three points on that occasion and Rodgers will be hoping the confidence from Thursday night's game in the Netherlands can play a key role in this fixture.

Newcastle ended a run of three successive losses last time out, as Eddie Howe's men beat a solid Wolverhampton Wanderers side at home exactly one week ago. The last home game Newcastle lost came on December 19 to Manchester City, therefore outlining the tough task facing Leicester, just days after travelling abroad for the Europa Conference League quarter finals.
