Ebbsfleet United sign forward Danny Ogunleye from Brentwood Town

Ebbsfleet boss Josh Wright has made his first new signing of the summer.

The Fleet have secured the services of forward Danny Ogunleye from Isthmian Premier Brentwood Town.

The 24-year-old had been at Brentwood since 2020 but has found his feet in the past two campaigns.

He scored 43 goals in all competitions when Brentwood won the Isthmian North title in 2024/25 and followed that up this season with 22 goals as the Essex outfit reached the play-offs at Step 3.

A statement from Brentwood said: “We are incredibly proud that Danny has earned the opportunity to play National League South football next season.

“Danny came to us as a boy and leaves as a man, and everybody associated with Brentwood Town looks forward to watching his progress at a higher level, where we are sure he will continue to score goals and cause defenders nightmares.

“Everyone at The Arena wishes Danny nothing but success and happiness for the future, and he will always be welcome back at Brentwood Town.”

Ogunleye had spells with Southampton and Forest Green in his teens and has also played for Coggeshall Town and Herne Bay.

Ebbsfleet announced earlier this week that Lennon Peake has agreed to stay at the club for a second season.
