Ebbsfleet United manager Josh Wright ahead of their trip to Horsham in National League South

Ebbsfleet boss Josh Wright admits he’s got a “lot of food for thought” ahead of their trip to Horsham.

The Fleet visit the Hornets tonight (Tuesday) on the back of a 4-1 loss at play-off chasing Chesham United on Saturday.

Wright had plenty to ponder and when asked if he’s got decisions to make on his team selection, the Fleet boss responded: “I always do.

“We've had a long, hard, tough schedule on wet, boggy pitches with travel in there and there's always decisions to make with selection.

“There are always teams and people to pick, and individuals as to who suits games and who doesn’t.

“So, yes, I'll have a lot of food for thought. I'll dissect this (Chesham) and I'll have a good look at it again, continue to look at Horsham and go out there to pick a team that's going to win me that game on Tuesday.

“You want it (another game) on the back of something like that - you want another game.

“I wish that we could have it now because we've let our standards drop. We've let ourselves down and we now need to put that right on Tuesday.”

One player expected to feature for the Fleet will be on-loan striker Marcus Wyllie, who has made the move from League 2 neighbours Gillingham until the end of the season.

Horsham were the first team to win at Stonebridge Road this season, earning a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture in November.

But they’ve had a drop in form since the turn of the year and their 2-0 home win over Hemel Hempstead last Saturday was their first National League South success since January 6, making it two victories in their last 11 league matches.

The hosts may also have one eye on a huge FA Trophy quarter-final clash this weekend as they entertain National League Southend this Saturday.
