Ebbsfleet lose Kwesi Appiah and Ronny Nelson to injury after playing their eighth game in just 24 days against Horsham

Ebbsfleet manager Josh Wright was left counting the cost of their home draw with Horsham on Tuesday.

The Fleet remain unbeaten in National League South after Charlie Seaman’s late leveller in a 2-2 draw at Stonebridge Road.

Wright named an unchanged team but then lost both Kwesi Appiah and Ronny Nelson to injury.

Asked if he regretted naming an unchanged team, Wright responded: “I wouldn't say so much regret, it's hindsight, it's easy to say it.

“I probably had a little bit too much time to think about it, but the boys deserved it. The boys deserved to start on the back of a 6-1 win.

“I felt I got players off at the right time on Saturday and freshened the squad up.

“You never know, it might have been worse the other way. But I can't come away from the fact that we've got a point here.

“You want to win every game, but you know you won't win every game. We know there'll be bumps and hurdles within it, but the big thing is we haven't lost and that's massive to keep this unbeaten record going.

“That could turn out to be a really valuable point.”

That run continues as the Fleet host Maidenhead in the league on Saturday before travelling to Maidstone on Tuesday.

“I knew it would come at some stage,” admitted
