Eamonn Holmes tells Rylan 'I'm free' as fans rush to praise him for move before worrying 'no recollection' announcement

Eamonn Holmes appears to have put himself forward for a new job after his 'TV son' Rylan Clark was flooded with praise for his latest move. The radio and TV star was back fronting his BBC Radio 2 show over the weekend after another week's break.

Rylan, 34, had been away from his Saturday afternoon show for a number of weeks as he filmed not one but two new TV shows. He then made a brief return earlier this month before missing his show again as he had to return to Italy to continue filming his new travel series with Robert Rinder.

But on Saturday, fans were thrilled to hear Rylan back on the radiowaves but he wasn't actually alone. The former X Factor star and Celebrity Big Brother winner had invited a superfan of the show to come and help him out.

Taking to Instagram with a snap of himself in the BBC Radio2 studio with youngest Harry, Rylan wrote: "Today 11 year old Harry joined me as co host of Rylan on Saturday. He called up a few weeks back saying how big a fan he was. What a guy. Thanks for coming in Harry!"

Singer Louise Redknapp was quick to respond to the post, sharing a red heart in the comments section. But GB News host and former This Morning star Eamonn appeared to be touting for his own chance to co-host with Rylan.

He wrote in the comments: "I'm a big fan too and I'm free on a Saturday." And Rylan seemed on board, but with one condition: "As long as you do KaRYoke," the segment which sees Rylan joined for a sing-song with famous faces which in recent months have included Adam Lambert, Lemar, and his own mum, Linda.
