Eagle-eyed ITV Corrie fans spot 'mistake' in Maria scenes

Eagle-eyed Corrie fans think they have spotted a 'mistake' in scenes with Maria Connor in Coronation Street after Weatherfield's sassy hairstylist turned eco-warrior. Maria, played by Samia Longchambon, has thrown herself into a political career after learning that her son Joseph's asthma was brought on by traffic.

While the local councillor has been putting green issues at the top of the agenda, bringing in extra bins and new collections, her ambitions and changes have made her the target of online abuse. A deep-fake video was made to humiliate her, in which her face was added to the body of an unknown naked woman.

But Coronation Street have noticed a detail at odds with her campaigning. Eagle-eyed viewer Zayn Khalil Hussain took to the Coronation Sttreet spoilers news gossip and fan chat Facebook group to ask: "Anyone else noticed that Maria's flat is like Blackpool illuminations?"

They added: "Broad daylight and she has every light on in that flat. I've counted at least 7 lights on constantly and she goes on about saving the planet." Pauline Lever agreed: "Well spotted, they made a mistake there."

And Sarah Smith echoed: "Made me giggle. The other day when after giving a lecture on recycling saving the planet, etc, her and Gary walked into their flat in broad daylight and first thing she done was turn two lights on which made absolutely no difference to the level of lightning in the flat xx lol."
