Eagle-eyed ITV Coronation Street viewers spot hospital 'knows' who Abi is as they plan appeal

There's not much you can't get past soap fans and eagle-eyed Coronation Street viewers have proved that once again.

It was the most secret of soap pregnancies as Abi Franklin went into labour in the ITV show at six months pregnant - not knowing that she was even expecting.

During Sunday night's trip to cobbles, viewers saw the already mum-of-three was left doubled over in a pain at the side of the road after being left there by drug dealer Dean who had stolen one of Kevin Webster's cars from the garage.

As we returned to a distressed Abi on Monday night, we saw her desperately trying to flag down the limited passing cars, particularly after her waters broke on the spot.

A short time later, Abi safely arrived at the hospital and desperately called a nurse for help before telling them she didn't know she was pregnant having experienced none of the usual symptoms and that the last time she had sex was six months ago - confirming that Imran Habeeb is likely to be the father following their one-night stand last year.

Abi, who gave the hospital a false name, eventually gave birth to a baby boy who was rushed off into intensive care after needing help to breathe when he was first delivered.

But a short while later, before the nurse and a doctor came to speak to Abi, she had disappeared from her bed and reappeared on the cobbles where she was giving her marching orders from No.13 by Kevin's sister Debbie.

Abi, however, didn't listen and headed to Dev's shop to pick up more booze before she was seen taking a swig from a vodka bottle.
