Dutch football fans bring some of city's busiest streets to a standstill during loud and noisy march to Old Trafford
Thousands of FC Twente fans brought parts of city centre to a standstill during a loud and colourful march to Old Trafford this evening.
The Dutch side are taking on Manchester United tonight (Wednesday) in the opening game of their Euorpa League campaign. The Eredivisie club have been given an official allocation of 3,000 tickets, however, it is thought more could have made the trip over from eastern Dutch city of Enschede.
From the early afternoon fans been gathering in and around the pubs in Exchange Square with the atmosphere slowly building throughout the day.

By the early evening, the square was heaving with rowdy fans clad in the club's red shirts and scarves as they made a cacophony of noise.
As is customary amongst many fans of European clubs, they took part in an organised walk to the stadium before the game. Beginning at 5pm, and escorted by police, they walked en masse through Shambles Square and down onto Deansgate.
They turned countless heads amongst commuters as they made their way down the city's main thoroughfare. After reaching the end of Deansgate, they headed up Chester Road passing over the Regent Road roundabout.
A number of fans were seen stopping to urinate in the middle of the roundabout by shocked onlookers living in the apartments overlooking it. Rolling road blocks were in place as they continued up Chester Road before reaching Old Trafford at around 6pm. Tonight's game kicks off at 8pm.
Transport chiefs warned home fans and commuters beforehand about potential disruption.
