Dusan Vlahovic made the ‘wrong’ decision and should’ve joined Arsenal or Tottenham, says Antonio Cassano
Dusan Vlahovic made the wrong decision by joining Juventus and would’ve been better off moving to Arsenal or Tottenham, according to Antonio Cassano.
Juve completed their £66 million deal to sign the striker from Fiorentina on Friday.
But Arsenal were also in the running to sign the Serbia international this month and had submitted an offer of €60m (£50m) plus Lucas Torreria, who is currently on loan with the Serie A club.
Vlahovic’s preference was always to join Juventus but Cassano believes the 22-year-old is not good enough to make the step up and describes the striker is a ‘second-tier’ player.

‘This is a huge step for him, playing with Fiorentina is another thing.
‘For him it is a very important step, but above all it’s risky. For Juve it is not enough to do what you did at Fiorentina.
‘It’s not enough to score 15 goals, 20 goals. At Juve, every match must be decisive. It’s a dangerous weight on him.
