Dundee United finance director set for Tannadice departure as behind the scenes shuffle continues

There's another shake-up ahead at Dundee United as financial director Derek Bond appears set to follow sporting director Tony Asghar through the Tannadice exit door.

The Tangerines endured a superb campaign last season, finishing in the top four and securing Europa Conference League football. But a humbling by AZ Alkmaar in Europe set a precedent for the rest of the season - and thus far, the Tayside club have only registered five wins in the league, whilst also being dumped out of domestic cup competitions twice to fellow strugglers Kilmarnock.

With just eight games to save their season, warning bells are on full distress level at Tannadice - which hasn't been helped by uncertainty on and off the field. Sporting Director, Tony Asghar left last month after a four-year spell on the east coast, whilst new boss Jim Goodwin has only picked up two points from his four games in charge after a defeat to Rangers at the weekend, leaving United rooted to the foot of the table. And now Bond has also decided to up sticks and leave, according to The Courier.

Bond joined the club four-and-a-half years ago when Mark Ogren took over the club, being labelled as Asghar's right-hand man. The Tangerines have already began taking applications for Bond's replacement.
