It was an 11th overall win on the event for Bogie, who set five fastest stage times in a row to claim victory by 19 seconds from Finlay Retson and Paul Beaton.

Fourth place went to Castle Douglas’ Jock Armstrong, who had Dumfries’ Owen Paterson on the notes in his Subaru Impreza, with Mark McCulloch of Dumfries eighth in his Proton Satria Evo co-driven by Michael Hendry.

Peter Stewart of Dumfries was 13th in his Citroen C3 Rally 2 with Scott Peacock of Castle Douglas 18th in his Mitsubishi Evo 8 with navigator Craig Wallace.

Penpont’s Greg McKnight and Harry Marchbank of Dumfries were the winners of the G&M Mechanical Services two-wheel drive category in their yellow Ford Escort Mk2. Second two-wheel drive runner – and winners of the Albyn Garage Challengers class – were Robert Proudlock of Dumfries and Steven Brown in their Peugeot 208 Rally4. The pair came into the event fresh from winning the junior BRC category in the Severn Valley Stages and took a fine 14th overall.

Taking Moates Offshore Juniors honours were Dumfries’ Lewis Haining and Eoghan Anderson in an MG ZR belonging to Scott Peacock.

Other Dumfries and Galloway finishers included Bridge of Dee’s Donald Peacock and Dumfries’
