Duk wants Aberdeen FC transfer exit this summer as striker claims he as 'many offers' on the table

Duk has told Aberdeen he wants to leave the club this summer.

The former Benfica man is out of contract next summer and has warned the PIttodrie club they should sell him now or face losing him on a free at the end of next season, which the forward sees as a way of repaying the support of "people who work with me." Speaking to Maisfutbol in Portugal, the Dons hitman says he has "many" offers to move on and that his preference would be England, Spain or Germany rather than remain in the Scottish Premiership.

New boss Jimmy Thelin isn't long in the door, but Duk isn't keen on sticking around for the Swede's new era if he can help it. The 24-year-old said "I think this is the right time to embrace a new challenge. I think that, and the people who work with me think the same. It would be a good opportunity to repay all the support they gave me, whether Aberdeen or Benfica, because Benfica still has a percentage of my pass [50%].

"In a year's time my contract with Aberdeen ends, and in six months I will be able to sign for any club. I think the best way to repay the support they have given me is to be able to make a transfer now, in which we all win. Me, Benfica and Aberdeen. There are many things on the table. It's time to evaluate what's best for me and the clubs too."

Asked if Aberdeen are aware of his desire to go elsewhere, Duk replied: "Yes, you already know, and we are all committed to dealing with this as soon as possible. I had already had this conversation months ago with Aberdeen and everything is on track to be resolved.
