Driver hospitalised after car 'driven off interchange'

A driver has been hospitalised after an accident in Cardiff this morning causing rush hour delays. South Wales Police say a car was driven off the interchange at Llanedeyrn onto the A48 dual carriageway Eastern Avenue.

The driver has been taken to the University Hospital of Wales for assessment following the incident. No arrests have been made and no serious injuries have been reported.

A police statement read: "South Wales Police was called at 7.30am this morning to a car having driven off the interchange at Llanedeyrn onto the A48 dual carriageway (Eastern Avenue). No arrests have been made, and no serious injuries have been reported however the driver has been taken to University Hospital of Wales for assessment."
