'Dream' Casemiro outcome for Man United as club confirm midfielder is on transfer shortlist

Casemiro's happiness at Manchester United has been questioned following his performance against Liverpool at Old Trafford in the final Premier League match before the September international break.

The former Brazil international made mistakes leading to the visitors' two first-half goals before being substituted at half-time. However, former Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham defender William Gallas says he believes those errors were a product of him being unhappy living in Manchester.

"The big question over Casemiro is, is he happy in Manchester? In my opinion, his body language suggests that he isn’t happy living there," Gallas told Gambling Zone.

"He is making so many more mistakes than when he was at Real Madrid, when he lived with a great lifestyle and sunshine. Now he is in Manchester, and it’s cold and raining, and it can be difficult for some players off the pitch.

"He’s from Brazil and then lived in Spain, and it’s not like he just jumped across the border from France, where the weather is similar. It’s not always easy."

MEN Sport says: Casemiro has only made one error that led to an opposition shot on goal in the last two seasons at United. During his final season at Madrid, he made three.

The midfielder erred three times in the 2018/2019 season and four across all competitions during the previous campaign. So, according to FBref, Casemiro made more mistakes in the Spanish capital than he has done in Manchester.
