People planning on visiting Dovestone Reservoir this bank holiday weekend have been warned it is likely to be very busy, and to not bring items that may risk fires breaking out.

Temperatures are set to reach 20+ degrees with the beauty spot a popular destination for tourists on a warm weekend. However, there is limited parking for the amount of visitors Dovestone's attracts.

Just two weeks ago nearby residents hit out at dangerous and illegal parking at the Oldham attraction as the warm weather brought people from far and wide.

There is parking for around 125 vehicles at the Bank lane and Binn Green car parks, but countless more people visit the area during periods of good weather, which has repeatedly caused problems in the past.
