Dover Athletic manager Mitch Brundle on Myles Judd’s new deal at Crabble | Defender under consideration for captaincy

Dover boss Mitch Brundle has told how he texted player-of-the-year Myles Judd every day in a bid to keep him at Crabble.

Brundle’s persistence finally paid off as right-back Judd signed a new contract for the 23/24 National League South season.

“I want to keep it that way.

“He trains like a bulldog. He trains the way he plays and I absolutely love that about him.

“I think I got the best football out of him that he’s ever produced and he wants to see where it goes with the new team we’re building.

“We’ve got a fantastic relationship.

“I love the kid to bits and just want the best for him in his career.

“If he’d had an offer from a club that
