Donny van de Beek names Manchester United team-mates with the best mentality

Donny van de Beek has named Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez as the Manchester United players with the best mentality.

The Dutchman was asked to create his perfect player from his United team-mates, breaking down each key attribute of a football player. Among those were right foot, left foot, pace, finishing and passing amongst other skillsets.

In terms of mindset, Van de Beek chose two United warriors, Casemiro and Martinez. Both signings have been praised for their positive impact in this regard on the team since joining last summer.

“We have a lot, it’s really hard to say one, but I like Lisandro Martinez or Casemiro. They are really strong," Van de Beek said to the club website.

The Dutchman went on to choose Bruno Fernandes' right foot, Luke Shaw's left and the skills of Jadon Sancho.

“It depends on which kind of shot you mean, but I think Bruno is a great finisher, with an amazing shot," he said. "Luke Shaw, I think he has a really good left foot.”

He added: “Skilful, I think Jadon or Antony. In general, Jadon has a lot of skills!”

Christian Eriksen was deemed the best passer, Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the best tackler and Marcus Rashford was the quickest and best finisher. Casemiro got a second vote too for his heading ability.
