What Ryan Gravenberch has said about his future amid Manchester United transfer interest

Midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has already vowed to try and fight for his place at Bayern Munich amid Manchester United's interest in his signature.

The Manchester Evening News understands that United, who were beaten 2-0 by Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, are considering a move for the 21-year-old. The Reds want to add another midfielder to their ranks before the transfer window closes next week.

Should they manage to offload Donny van de Beek, who has been the subject of interest from Real Sociedad, it would open the door for United to try and recruit another central midfielder. Gravenberch, who joined Bayern from Ajax last summer, is no stranger to United boss Erik ten Hag after working with him at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

The talented midfielder, who is a Netherlands international, has struggled to kick on since joining Bayern, making just 33 appearances in all competitions. He has been an unused substitute in both of the German giants' first two matches this term.

Despite that, Gravenberch, speaking earlier this summer, admitted that he wanted to stay at the Allianz Arena and try and force his way into Thomas Tuchel's plans.

"I assume that I will still play at Bayern next season," said Gravenberch, speaking in June. "That's really how I feel about it.

"I am with a top three club in the world. I think that's beautiful and special. I'm not giving up easily. My goal is still to succeed at Bayern.
