Disgusted Hibs chiefs tell Nick Montgomery he’s failing as club conduct major investigation

Disgusted Hibs chiefs have labelled their top-six failure as 'simply unacceptable' and revealed they’ve held showdown talks with Nick Montgomery.

The Easter Road club have launched a full review into the failure. They will play their final five games in the bottom half of the table following the loss of a last-gasp leveller in their match at Motherwell, with a win needed to give their top six hopes any chance. A win would have had the club watching with keen eyes on developments at Dens Park tonight but after failing to see out the victory, they will be playing to finish the season in seventh at best.

Leith top brass believe finishing in the top half is the absolute MINIMUM requirement. While the club note considerable progress has been made off the field, they've moved to assure supporters that work on the pitch to progress and perform is a top priority and understand that it is an area of the club that needs urgent attention. They state the new link up with Bill Foley and his Black Knight Football Club group will help improve things across the board – with the new partnership involved in the root-and-branch probe undertaken in the aftermath of the weekend.
